Our signs are made from pine (suitable indoor and outdoor) or MDF (for inside use only) and have either a base coat plus a color coat of indoor/outdoor paint covered with with a water-based poly coat for weather protection or have an outdoor water-based stain that is applied over natural wood.

Paint will cover more of the wood grain (no grain with MDF) while stain will allow the natural wood grain to show through - for this reason, no two signs will be identical.

The signs are carved from the wood, so the message will not fade as is possible with only painted signs.
