Note that standard size rollerball or lidquid gel refills (11mm long x 6mm diameter, e.g., Schmitdt ceramic rollerball, Pentel LR7 Gel) will fit this pen, which opens up the world of colorful inks.

The Zebrano and Black Palm both have a strongly contrasted grain pattern that stands out. The Zebrano is lighter and the grain larger than the fine contrasted "needles" of the Black Palm. Padauk is an exotic red wood that is a favorite.
