Handcrafted Farmhouse Bowls
I have handcrafted these painted wooden bowls using a 12 step process, meaning that each bowl will be uniquely different. Starting with the wood, each piece has its own "character" such as intrusions of sap wood, or knots, resulting in a bowl that will not be perfectly round, which only adds to the character.
The bowls can be used for many different purposes in all rooms of your house - from simple seasonal decoration in your living room, for example with seashells collected on the beach or to display any of your treasures, to holding potpourri or soaps in a powder room, to offering snacks to guests in the kitchen or dining room, to conveniently collecting change from your pocket at the end of a day in your bedroom.
The water-based paint used will wear over time giving the bowls a unique character (some would say "distressed" appearance or "patina" which confers a familiar, "homey" , rustic feeling to the bowls.)
Select among hardwood, color and size combinations available. - special orders are possible and will take more time.
- Hardwoods: ambrosia (maple), cherry
- Colors: barn red, driftwood, pitch black, pumpkin, sea green, soldier blue, snow white
- Small: 2.5-3.5 inches diameter x 2-3 inches tall/ 6-9 cm dia x 5-8cm tall
- Medium: 4-6 inches diameter x 2-3 inches tall/ 10-15 cm dia x 5-8 cm tall
