Geranium 'Rosemoor'

Geranium 'Rosemoor'

from $8.00

This is a selected form of the sterile, G. x magnificum. ‘Rosemoor’ is touted as being one of the best recent Geranium introductions. It has somewhat more prolific and bluer flowers than the others. More importantly it is reported to have “exceptional vitality”. ‘Rosemoor’ offers 2 in. wide, 5-petaled saucers of blue-violet with prominent red veins. These are held in outward facing dense clusters well above a medium green clump of typical geranium foliage. Unfazed by the occasional dry spell once established, the good-looking slightly hairy palmate leaves are deeply lobed and develop a range of Autumnal tones come fall.

Hardy geraniums are easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Trim plants after flowering to shape and to stimulate new foliage growth. Plants tend to become leggy and/or flop with age, and in such case may be cut back to basal foliage to revitalize.
